2015 Deadline Dates

TVA, working with the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association’s (TVPPA) Energy Services Committee and Renewables Working Group set deadline dates for the 2015 calendar year to ensure sufficient time for processing by Local Power Companys and TVA prior to the end of the calendar year:

  • Nov. 13: Last day to roll off waitlist (if any applications are on waitlist); this will occur only if capacity pool is full
  • Nov. 18: Last day for customers to submit Capacity Reservation Requests (CRRs) to reserve 2015 capacity at 2016 premium rates
  • Nov. 18: Last day for customers to submit Participation Agreement Requests (PARs) to guarantee 2015 capacity and premium rates
  • Dec. 9: Last day for LPCs to complete reviews, approvals and submit forms to TVA

2016 Program

Green Power Providers was established to encourage the development of small-scale solar, wind, biomass and hydro generation systems across the Tennessee Valley that are 50 kilowatts or less.

TVA will accept applications for the Green Power Providers program through an online application process starting in mid-January 2016.

NABCEP Requirement

For 2016, TVA will not require the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) full-certification requirement and will continue with the entry-level requirement. TVA will periodically evaluate NABCEP requirement-related industry standards.
