Private covered floating dock and riprap bank stabilization
Little Hurricane Creek mile 3.3, right bank, Elk River mile 146.0, right bank, Tims Ford Reservoir, Franklin, County, Tennessee
The proposed work would consist of the construction of a private covered floating dock for Northlake Estates Phase I Subdivision. The floating dock would be parallel to the shoreline and 105 feet wide. It would extend 63 feet lakeward from the normal summer pool elevation 888.0 feet.
The entire facility would be constructed of galvanized aluminum and supported by encapsulated foam and would be held in place by a stiff arm anchoring system. The facility would be able to accommodate approximately 10 boats. In addition, the applicant proposes to stabilize 1,900 feet of shoreline with riprap for erosion control. (For more information, including a map and project illustration, see the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Public Notice.)
