Request for Dock Facility on Tims Ford Reservoir
Tims Ford Reservoir, Elk River, Franklin County, Tennessee
TVA has received a request from Rocky Top Lakeshore Development Inc. to construct a community dock facility and a small land-based deck to serve six lots for the proposed Hidden Cove Subdivision being developed on adjacent private land. The proposed facility includes a 95’ x 31’ community dock with six slips, a 53’ x 5’ access walkway, and a 6’ x 6’ land-based deck with adjoining steps. The property is on Tims Ford Reservoir on the Elk River in Franklin County, Tennessee.
In addition to meeting certain general and standard permitting conditions, the applicant will be required to establish a Conservation Partnership Easement that will create a buffer area approximately 100 feet deep along the shoreline to benefit the environment.
TVA is interested in receiving comments on the potential for the proposed action to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this proposal. The comments will be used in reaching a decision concerning the proposed action.
Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before October 30, 2009, and should be directed to:
