TVA To Temporarily Close Chickamauga Dam Public Use Areas

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – TVA will temporarily close the public use areas at the Chickamauga Dam reservation from Wednesday, Oct. 12, through Monday, Oct. 17, for an international boat racing event.

The Super Boat International/American Power Boat Association’s 2005 Offshore Racing Association Inc. will hold a divisional race and speed record races in Chickamauga Reservoir during the five-day period.

TVA will reopen the Chickamauga Dam public use areas to the general public on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
