Regional Resource Stewardship Council to Meet Sept. 10 - 11

TVA’s role in recreation across the Tennessee Valley will be discussed at the next Regional Resource Stewardship Council meeting in Knoxville on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept.10 - 11.

The council, created to advise TVA on the management of natural resources in the Tennessee Valley, will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday in TVA’s West Tower Auditorium.

TVA’s current role in recreation management, a national perspective on recreation and recreation trends, and discussions by regional, state and commercial recreation providers are on the agenda for the two-day meeting.

Council meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period, which is scheduled from 9:20 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11.

Anyone wanting to make comments at the meeting should register at the door. Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to no more than five minutes. Up to an hour will be allotted for public comments, with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handout materials should be limited to one printed page.
