The Stakeholder Group identified areas on Lake Guntersville to be treated at its April meeting and the aquatic weed treatment process began the first week of June.

TVA has agreed to provide short-term funding for weed management of commercial and residential areas through 2019. TVA will continue to fund weed control in public recreational areas after 2019, and the stakeholder group will be responsible for finding long-term funding for commercial and residential areas.
