Weekend Two – March 29/30- Need 25 volunteers per day
50% work at ground level, 30% on ladders with siding high on the house, and 20% should be semi-skilled to do outside carpentry, fascia, bird boxes and back deck. |

Clean house
Install siding – start at back of house
Caulk top & bottom plates and panel joints (Int.)
Install insulation
Install baffle boards, Deadwood
Install soffit (Ext)
Install blocking for drywall, cabinets, shelving

Weekend Three – April 5/6 - Need 25 volunteers per day
70% semi-skilled to install doors, trim, cabinets and front porch rail; 30% unskilled for cleanup, painting, etc. |

Install interior doors, trim and baseboards
Set and fill nail hole
Caulk trim
Install kitchen cabinets and countertops
Install front porch rail Interior paint – one prime and one finish coat
Finish siding and soffit, ¼ round

Weekend Four – April 12/13 – Need 25 volunteers per day.
Some heavy lifters to dig holes and do landscaping. The rest will install mirrors, towel bars, paper holders, do final cleanup and punch out. |

No work will occur Easter weekend (March 22/23).
HFH-N’s task-based system will increase productivity and assist volunteers at the build site. Please select the day(s) that best match your skills based on the criteria above.
HFH-N is requesting volunteers arrive at 6:15 a.m. and work from 7 to 4:30 on their scheduled day(s). No split shifts or half days are available.
Age Guidelines – No one under 16 year of age. Volunteers should be prepared to show proof of age. Youth 16 or 17 years old may volunteer (on weekends 3 or 4) if accompanied by an adult all day (ration 1 adult to 5 teens). 16 or 17 year olds may not climb on the roof or use ladders. Parent/legal guardian must sign release form.
Dedication Day is Sunday, April 13th, at 1 p.m. CST. All houses built this spring will be dedicated on this day. Parking on this day will also be off-site.
