A federal program called Conversations With America is designed to encourage public comment on how to improve government services to citizens. The following monthly calendar lists meetings that provide forums for public questions and comments.

2008 NALMS Southeast Regional Conference

June 2, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; June 3 & 4, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; and June 5, 8:00 a.m. -12 noon (EDT)

Destin, Florida - Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, 9300 Emerald Coast Parkway West

The Florida Lake Management Society (FLMS) will host the 2008 North America Lake Management Society Southeast Regional Conference in combination with the 19th Annual FLMS Conference. Conference sessions are related to water resources and lake management issues. TVA is a presenter at the conference.

July 2008

TVA Transmission System Project

July 10, 2008, (tentative) 3-7 p.m. (EDT)

Knoxville, Tennessee, Location TBD

The open house will be to present TVA’s plans to improve electrical service in the local region. TVA staff will host and attend open house to present maps of the study area and additional information regarding the process for siting transmission lines and to discuss the project with property owners and stakeholders.
